Blurry shots, blinks and near-duplicates are measured from the pixels, with the sharpest frame of each burst picked for you.
Private by default
Scores and search run on this Mac. Pictures go out only for the optional AI features, and never without an OpenRouter key you add.
Search
Type what you're after.
Results come back ranked, with the evidence printed under each one. Every picture is read once on your Mac, for what it shows and every word written on it, so a street sign, a confirmation number or a name on a letter is searchable.

This is how the app reads what you type, ported from its parser. Matching itself needs your library, so it happens in the app.
Why it reads the words
A receipt is what it says, not how it looks.
On a real photo of a card receipt, Apple's image classifier scored its own receipt label 0.01. The text recogniser read TOTAL, SUBTOTAL, VISA and APPROVED off the same frame without trouble. So Triage indexes both, and identifies paperwork from what it says.

Measured from the pixels.
Every picture is scored on your Mac for focus, exposure, composition and faces, and near-duplicates are grouped. Then the app gets out of the way while you go through them.
Review
One picture, three decisions.
Keep, delete, or look again later. Each picture shows why it was suggested, and every decision can be undone, including the bulk "keep best of each".

The album bar sits under the search box wherever there are pictures on screen. ⇧⌘A files from anywhere.
Safety
Nothing is deleted without your say-so.
Only when you apply
Nothing is removed until you press the button in the apply bar, and macOS shows its own confirmation on top of that.
Always recoverable
Library pictures go to Recently Deleted for 30 days. Folder files go to the Trash. Nothing is ever unlinked.
Favorites are safe
Favorites are never suggested for deletion.
Private by default
On your Mac, unless you choose otherwise.
No account needed, and nothing is uploaded by the core app. Two things are optional, and both are off until you turn them on.

Measured on a real 48,616-picture library. The whole library is scanned by default, and Settings can cap it at the newest 1,000, 5,000 or 20,000.
